Transfering data from one database to another is a very tedious job to do manually; it is always better to have applications like Export Table for Oracle Pro, which let you export the tables from SQL Server to Oracle.
The working of Export Table for Oracle Pro is the following: it generates runnable SQL instructions (of the INSERT type) from the data in the original SQL Server tables. Once these SQL sentences are run, it will automatically fill in the Oracle database. From the assistant you can predefine the DSN of the connection, and filter (using WHERE clauses) so it only transfers the data you want.
The main difference between Export Table for Oracle Pro and the standard version is that the first also lets you export both text and images, and it can also be run from the command line.
